What an amazing find in the unassuming backstreets. I'm picky about my coffee, usually drink a flat white and I like it strong, so I ordered a double shot latte which surpassed my expectations, even down to the latte art! Add to that the soothing atmosphere with a lovely garden view and jazz playing in the background, this is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy. Highly recommend! Double shot recommended if you like a decent hit.

One of our favorite local cafes! Not only do they have great coffee and a wide selection of teas (hot and iced), but we were impressed with their soft serve ice cream! The creamy texture and taste is delicious they incorporate this ice cream in many dessert options. They also have some food if you’re hungry: we eat their napolitan pasta weekly! English menu is available, and the owners are super friendly/patient even if you don’t know any Japanese. Highly recommend This cafe is the perfect little spot for cooling you down on a hot day in Kyoto!

Perfect place to sit for a while and warm up in the winter. Plenty of cozy seating with a view of a small garden. English friendly menu in case you can’t read Japanese. Good prices. I only planned to sit here for a short time but stayed for a long time.

This is a family-run cafe and located at the back of the house. So if you see the sign that it’s open, do not hesitate to enter even though it may feel like you’re trespassing their property. Slide the door open and step inside the warmth and comfort that makes you feel like home. The lady will come to receive you, hand you a menu and a little bell to call yer when you’ve chosen what to have. I had a matcha latte brown sugar jelly. How refreshing! It was absolutely lovely.
